Sex And The City Movie Background

For Sex and The City Movie virgins, here is a little introduction to the story so far… Carrie Bradshaw is a successful author and columnist who lives alone in New York City. She has dated a string of gorgeous men, but one man keeps returning for more – Big. They have dated on/off for ten years, during which time Big has been married and divorced - just not to Carrie. Carrie, as you may know is a fashion goddess – her closet is crammed with more designer clothes and shoes than 5th Avenue. Through all her ups and downs, her friends have remained faithful.

Samantha is a publicist, who although single is slowly sleeping her way through New York City’s beautiful men – not looking for love, but a good time before she moves on. Then she met Smith. An up and coming actor who cracks the hard exterior and finds a soft Samantha willing to be loved. The problem is that Samnatha believes in botox more than she does marriage and relationships.

Miranda is a lawyer, she also lived alone in an urban chic apartment, until she meets Steve. As they say opposites attract but Miranda has a hard time realising this. She becomes pregnant, but still doesn’t commit to Steve. Following the birth of their son, they finally get together and marry before moving to Brooklyn.

Finally Charlotte, who having been unlucky in love, meets Harry – her divorce lawyer. He offers her everything her ex-husband couldn’t and they marry in a lavish Jewish ceremony. Sadly, Charlotte believes she cannot have children, so Harry makes arrangements for them to adopt a Chinese baby girl, called Lily.

So the latest instalment begins as Carrie and Big return from Paris, desperately in love, and decide the time is right to get a ‘place’ together. This place turns out to be a stunning Manhattan penthouse apartment that Big tells Carrie he will buy and create a closet she could previously only of dreamed about. Deal done – Carrie is sold! She does however have concerns that she would have no claim to the apartment should their relationship end, so Big suggests marriage……
